Doug has over 45 years of healthcare leadership experience delivering financial and clinical transformation to clients throughout the country.  He is an expert in Revenue Cycle and Vendor Management.  Doug has led operational and financial teams focused on performance improvement while serving in senior leadership roles for large international financial services firms, large outsourcing firms, and in several large and small health systems and hospitals.  Doug has helped providers achieve success across the US, including numerous financially distressed organizations. 

Prior to forming Healthcare Advanced Revenue Strategies, he served as a Principal for an international accounting firm, as President for one of the largest healthcare outsourcing firms, as Vice President over revenue cycle operations for several large health systems, and Doug was with a Big 4 accounting firm for over ten years, where he served as a Director of Healthcare Advisory Services.

 

Chantelle Venter

Partner, CFO

Chantelle Venter is a nationally recognized operational Chief Financial Officer specializing in healthcare turnarounds and enterprise transformation. She began her career in investment banking and served as a U.S. Air Force technical nurse, bringing a rare combination of financial discipline, clinical and operational leadership, and a mission-driven perspective to complex health systems. She has worked with community hospitals and served as a senior strategist to large health systems, including helping lead the turnaround of a multi-billion health system while expanding its physician enterprise, while serving as CFO for UC San Diego Health’s physician group.

Chantelle focuses on applying large-system operational strategies and emerging healthcare technologies to strengthen rural and community hospitals across the Southwest. She is a member of the Texas Organization of Rural & Community Hospitals (TORCH), actively working with several rural member hospitals and she is committed to expanding financially sustainable healthcare access in rural communities.

 

Philip Hampton

Senior Advisor, Supply Chain Management

Philip Hampton is the President of PMHII Consulting, a healthcare supply chain advisory firm dedicated to helping health systems achieve measurable operational and financial improvement, and he partners with Healthcare Advanced Revenue Strategies LLC serving as a Senior Advisor for Supply Chain Management. With more than three decades of leadership experience across for-profit, non-profit, and academic health systems, Mr. Hampton brings a practitioner’s perspective to every engagement — one grounded in having personally led the supply chain functions, managed the teams, and been accountable for the outcomes. His work spans the full continuum of supply chain operations, from strategic sourcing and GPO and distributor relations to value analysis, procure-to-pay optimization, and capital equipment management, giving clients access to senior-level expertise across each of these domains.

Beyond operations, Mr. Hampton has deep fluency in the financial and technological dimensions of healthcare supply chain — including ERP and MMIS systems, data analytics, and cost reduction strategy — and has advised medical device suppliers and health technology companies on go-to-market strategy and industry positioning. He is equally experienced in the human side of the work: building high-performing teams, developing supply chain talent, and leading organizations through complex change.

Stephen Forney

Strategic Advisor and Executive Coach

Stephen has 35+ years of experience in healthcare finance/operations (acute, post-acute, physician practice, pre-hospital, insurance companies) in facilities ranging from small rural hospitals to large urban health systems.  He has an MBA from St. Leo University and is a licensed CPA in the state of Florida.  He is also a CIA and a Fellow in both the ACHE and HFMA.  He specializes in Organizational Turnarounds, Revenue Cycle Development, and Operational Improvement.

 

 

 

Maraye Wyatt

Senior Director - Revenue Cycle Advisory Services

Maraye has over 20 years of RCM experience driving operational efficiency, financial performance, and strategic transformation across complex healthcare organizations.  As a VP of Revenue Cycle, I lead initiatives focused on optimizing accounts receivable, reducing denials, and improving overall revenue integrity.  She built a reputation for delivering measurable results through process improvement, automation, and strong payer engagement strategies. Her expertise spans denial management, collections optimization, managed care, and end-to-end revenue cycle operations and her achievements include reducing days in accounts receivable, improving clean claim rates, and strengthening overall financial performance.  Known for her collaborative and strategic leadership style, with a focus on building high-performing teams, driving accountability, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, she is passionate about developing talent, enhancing operational workflows, and aligning revenue cycle functions with broader organizational goals.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from LeMoyne College in Memphis, Tennessee, and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.

 


Steve Friedman

Senior Director - Revenue Cycle Optimization and Outsourcing 

Steve's career of over 40 years has been split between Big 4 Firms where he provided RCM Consulting to hundreds of hospitals, and working for health systems where he served in the roles of Vice President for Revenue Cycle, and Vice President of Vendor Management. His past includes small to mid-size hospitals, several large health systems, and a two-year interim Director of Revenue Cycle role for one of the largest hospitals in the US.  Steve is highly skilled at performing assessments, developing and managing action plans, and providing hospitals with the knowledge they need to get the highest return from their vendors at an optimal price.
